Easy Halloween Desserts
Halloween is such a fun holiday for kids and adults. Growing up I loved all the decorations, pumpkin carving and of course the candy and treats! Now as a parent, it’s fun to watch my children enjoy all the holiday activities as well.
Not only is it fun with the kids, but the treats as an adult aren’t too shabby either. The sweet and salty combo from these Mummy Cookies are really pretty awesome. If you love chocolate covered pretzels or a Sweet & Salty Snack Mix, you will enjoy these as well!

Kid Friendly Halloween Cookie Recipe
Last year was the kids first year trick or treating. They were only one at the time so didn’t fully understand what was going on. This year, they are quite excited about it.
Leading up to the holiday we have been decorating and making treats. I try to drag out every holiday as long as I can! These Halloween Mummy Nutter Butters were a big hit with the kids. They even rivaled the huge spider web we put out in front of our house!
Every time anyone bikes or walks past our house the kids have to point it out to them…not that they could miss it!

They also love helping with all the dinners. This Taco Pizza is a favorite because they not only get to sneak some cheese, but sprinkle on lots of ingredients.

Halloween Cookie Decorating
These Mummy Nutter Butters were a hit with them as well. The best part is that after I dipped the nutter butters in the white chocolate, they could go to town with the frosting making the mummy bandages.
Decorating these mummy cookies with frosting is pretty hard to screw up seeing it is a very abstract thing. It was a huge win with the kids…except for all the frosting that went right in their mouth!

How to make Halloween treats recipe
I suggest waiting to add the eyes until the end if you are letting young kids decorate the mummy cookies. If you are doing it yourself, add the eyes first and use the icing to go just over the edges of them for an enraptured look.
Allow the chocolate and icing to cool until hardened. Once they are set, store them in an airtight container, or package them up individually for special treats for the kids daycare friends, coworkers, or school treats.
Just remember that these do have peanuts in them, so be extra cautious of sharing them in group settings if you aren’t sure that no child has a nut allergy!
